How to get to Tekapo Springs
From Christchurch: Drive south on State Highway 1, then take SH 79 at Geraldine toward Fairlie. From there, continue on SH 8 to Lake Tekapo. The journey is around 220 km, taking approximately 2.5 to 3 hours.
From Queenstown: Head north on SH 6, passing through Cromwell, then follow SH 8 through Omarama and into Lake Tekapo. The distance is around 260 km, with a drive time of 3 to 3.5 hours, depending on conditions.
