I’ve always been the adventure-seeker in my relationship, the one happiest with a coffee in hand and sand between my toes in some far-off location. So when I first learnt about campervan travel, I was immediately sold. My husband, Nigel, however, wasn’t exactly thrilled by the idea.  

Where I loved the idea of waking up in the Outback, completely untethered, he preferred the comfort of hotels and the structure of a city getaway. So when I suggested an Australia road trip in a campervan, he wasn’t convinced.
