Treat yourself to some fine dining

A romantic night out wouldn’t be complete without treating yourselves to a candlelight dinner at one of the many incredible restaurants that are scattered around the city. There are so many great restaurants to choose from in Brisbane, below are just two of our favourites that are perfect for a date night.

Patina is a stunning, modern restaurant in Brisbane’s most iconic heritage listed building, Custom House, located in the heart of the city. When you’re thinking of romantic ideas, a night out here is a no-brainer. Their menu is crafted using local produce and is designed to be shared, making it all the more romantic.

A night out at Alchemy is sure to impress your date and will be a unique dining experience to remember. Situated on the picturesque Brisbane river, the restaurant gives off a relaxed yet elegant feel, perfectly paired with incredible food and great water views.

Set up a picnic in the park

A picnic in the park is another great date idea. The beauty of picnics is that not only are they more cost effective, but you can do it on your own time, they tend to be more relaxed, and you can enjoy the outdoors with food you’ve selected. You can go ultra-gourmet or keep it simple, and you can then enjoy a stroll around the park to top off the romantic date.

New Farm Park

New Farm Park is one of Brisbane’s oldest and largest parks and is a perfect spot for a romantic picnic date. With a blooming rose garden, plenty of shade and lovely walking paths, this will be a great way to impress your date. You can arrive via the water on the CityCat, by car or by bus, and once here you’ll be spoilt for choice of where to set up your picnic.

If you feel like getting out of the city during your romantic getaway, then we highly recommend visiting the town of Boonah. Located on the Scenic Rim, just 1.5hours out of the city, this country escape invites you to relax and unwind.
