The best easy walks and hikes in New South Wales

1. Bondi to Coogee Coastal Walk

First up is the ever-popular Bondi to Coogee Coastal Walk. This iconic easy walk in Sydney offers stunning views of the Pacific Ocean and Sydney coastline. The 6 km trail passes through beautiful beaches, parks, and rock pools with many places to stop off along the way. To get here by camper, can park your vehicle at the Bondi Beach parking lot where there is ample space for a home on wheels. 2. Blue Mountains - Prince Henry Cliff Walk

Up next is the Prince Henry Cliff Walk in the Blue Mountains. This is a relatively easy walk along the cliff edges in the Blue Mountains, offering breathtaking views of the Jamison Valley, waterfalls, and spectacular rock formations that are sure to leave you in awe. With great spots to set up a picnic lunch, as well as an easy trail to follow, this is a great destination for every traveller. To get here by camper, you can park at the Katoomba Falls Car Park and embark on the incredible walk through nature.

3. Royal National Park - The Coast Track

The Coast Track in the Royal National Park in Sydney is an incredible walk that offers the perfect blend of scenery and serenity. The full Coast Track is 26 km one way and runs along the coastline from Bundeena to Otford. We suggest doing part of the walk as far as Little Marley Beach, which will take around 1.5 hours, offering gorgeous ocean views, hidden beaches, and ample opportunities for birdwatching and native animal spotting.

4. Manly to Spit Bridge Walk

Another popular and easy walk in NSW is the Manly to Spit Bridge Walk. Located in Sydney, this walk is around 10kms and traverses through bushland, harbour-side pathways, past secluded beaches and incredible lookouts. It's easily accessible from the city and provides a taste of the natural beauty surrounding Sydney. Park your camper at the Spit Bridge parking lot or Clontarf Reserve and begin your journey along this unforgettable walking track, all before enjoying a well-deserved meal or drink at one of the cafes or eateries.

5. Katoomba Falls Round Walk

The Katoomba Falls Round Walk is a short and easy walk in the Blue Mountains that takes you through the rainforest and offers views of Jamison Valley. Once you arrive at the Katoomba Falls, you’ll witness the beautiful segmented waterfall that is situated between Echo Point and Scenic World in the Katoomba area. To get here by camper, take the Great Western Highway to Katoomba where you’ll find plenty of parking before the starting point of the walk.

6. Lane Cove National Park - Riverside Walk

Another great walk is the Lane Cove National Park Riverside Walk, which is perfect for birdwatching and enjoying time immersed in nature. The trail is mostly flat and well-maintained, is around 5 kms one-way, and should take around 2-3 hours. There are plenty of spots to stop at for a riverside picnic, making it a great family-friendly NSW activity to add to a road trip travel itinerary.

7. Bouddi Coastal Walk

The Bouddi Coastal Walk is located on the Central Coast near Gosford and offers stunning rugged coastal scenery, untouched beaches, and panoramic cliff top views. The diverse landscape includes rainforests, heathlands, and rocky platforms, all of which are sure to impress nature lovers and adventure seekers alike. The walk is 8.5 km one-way and is easily accessible by campervan with ample parking available at the beach track entrance.

8. Sydney Harbour National Park - Taronga to Balmoral Walk

Last on our list of the best easy walks and hikes in NSW is the Taronga to Balmoral Walk, through the iconic Sydney Harbour National Park.
